The municipality of Hällefors has varied canoe trails with different challenges. The dark waters of Svartälven have cut a route through upland pine forest with large sand moors. The wilderness feeling is only broken by a few crofts and villages. Northern and Southern Svartälven stretch from Tyfors in the north to Lake Skagern in the south. Totally 200 km long.
The closest you will ever get to this magnificent countryside is to glide silently along in a canoe or kayak....
